This notice covers the YNOW business website and prospective customer inquiries. Patient information handled through a contracted platform needs its own agreed safeguards and notices.
01What this notice covers
This notice addresses people visiting YNOW’s business website or contacting us about a telehealth business. It describes information handling on this website and the business inquiry workflow.
It is not a patient privacy notice, a healthcare provider’s Notice of Privacy Practices or the complete description of data processing inside a contracted YNOW platform.
02Information you choose to provide
The contact form asks for your name, work email, brand or company, topic of interest and whether the brand is new or already operating. A website address and a short business message are optional. We use these details to respond, assess fit and discuss scope, pricing and onboarding.
Correspondence you send us may also include your questions, proposed meeting details and information about the systems your business uses. Please provide only information relevant to the business conversation and that you are authorized to share.
The email signup at the bottom of every page asks only for your email address. We use it to send you occasional updates about YNOW.
Do not include patient records, medical histories, prescriptions, payment card numbers or passwords in a business inquiry.
03How the contact form and email signup work
When you submit the contact form, the details you entered are sent to YNOW over an encrypted connection. They are stored in our content management system, where only authorized YNOW personnel can see them, and sent to our team by email at hello@ynow.com so we can respond. The form does not save a draft in your browser’s storage.
When you sign up for email updates, your email address is stored in the same way, with the page you signed up on and the time, and our team is notified at hello@ynow.com. To protect both forms from abuse, our server briefly counts recent submissions from each network address. That count is not stored with your submission.
The details you submit through the Get started form, the contact form and the email signup are also sent to Customer.io, our email and customer relationship management provider, which keeps them on our behalf so we can follow up and keep track of our conversation with you. If you sign up for email updates, Customer.io also records that you asked for them. Every update email includes a link to unsubscribe or manage your email preferences.
Each form also sends how your visit reached the website: the campaign details in the link you followed (UTM parameters), the page you landed on and the referring website. While analytics is on, this browser keeps that information in local storage, under ynow_attribution, for up to 90 days, so a form you send later can include the visit that first brought you here. Turning analytics off deletes it. While analytics is off, a form includes only the campaign details of the page it is sent from.
04Technical information, cookies and analytics
Loading a website involves a request from your browser to a server. Depending on the hosting configuration, that server or its security services may record technical information such as an IP address, requested page, request time, browser information and error details.
This website uses two Google services: Google Analytics 4, which measures how the website is used, and Google Tag Manager, which loads measurement tags we configure. Google Analytics collects information such as the pages viewed, how visitors arrived, the type of device and browser, and an approximate location that Google derives from the IP address.
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies, such as _ga and a cookie beginning _ga_, that store a randomly generated identifier, by default for up to two years, so visits from the same browser can be counted together. We use this information in aggregate to measure and improve the website and its content. Apart from the form attribution described under How the contact form and email signup work, the website does not use local storage for visitor tracking, and it does not include session replay.
Outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the website also uses the Meta pixel, which tells Meta the pages you view and when you send a form or sign up for email updates, with an identifier stored in the _fbp cookie, so we can measure and target our ads on Facebook and Instagram, unless you opt out of sale or sharing or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. When you submit a form, we also send your contact details (email, name and phone number) to Meta in hashed form to measure and match our ads; you can opt out through Your Privacy Choices or Global Privacy Control.
You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, use a browser or extension that blocks analytics scripts, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The website continues to work if you do. Google explains how it uses information from websites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Fonts are served with the website. Your browser and any external booking service operate under their own settings and notices.
05Your privacy choices
Use the Your Privacy Choices link at the bottom of every page to review or change your choice at any time. You can turn analytics off, and you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Opting out of sale or sharing also turns analytics off.
For visitors in the United States and most other countries, analytics is on by default, and a notice explains this on your first visit. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics stays off unless you accept it. The region is taken from the approximate country of your internet connection and kept only for your browsing session, in a cookie named ynow_region.
We honor Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends this signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and analytics stays off in that browser. The Your Privacy Choices panel shows when the signal has been honored.
Your choice is stored in this browser for 12 months in a first-party cookie named ynow_consent. If you clear your cookies or use another browser or device, the notice appears again. We use Google Consent Mode: advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalization are always denied, and Google signals and ad personalization are turned off in our analytics settings. While analytics is off, the Google Analytics script is not loaded.
To stop receiving email updates, use the unsubscribe link in any update email. For any other privacy request, email us at hello@ynow.com.
06Why inquiry information is used
We use inquiry information to:
- Respond to your questions and arrange a conversation.
- Understand your business requirements and assess a potential platform setup.
- Prepare and discuss a proposal, pricing and custom onboarding.
- Keep an appropriate record of business correspondence.
- Protect the inquiry service from abuse and meet applicable legal obligations.
An inquiry does not sign you up for marketing emails or text messages. We send email updates only to addresses entered in the email signup. To stop receiving them, email hello@ynow.com.
07Where a legal basis is required
Some privacy laws require a stated legal basis for handling personal information. Depending on the person, location and purpose, responding to a requested proposal may involve steps toward a contract; managing ordinary business correspondence or preventing abuse may involve legitimate interests; legally required records may involve a legal obligation. Consent may be required for optional activities.
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent.
08Who may receive information
The intended recipients of business inquiries are the YNOW personnel who need them to respond, evaluate the request or arrange onboarding. Depending on the services actually selected, hosting, email, scheduling, form or customer relationship management providers may process information for those purposes under appropriate arrangements. Customer.io, our email and customer relationship management provider, receives the details you submit through the website’s forms and how your visit reached the website. Google receives website usage information through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, as described under Technical information, cookies and analytics. Meta Platforms receives the pages you view, when you send a form or sign up for email updates, and hashed contact details from those forms through the Meta pixel, unless you opt out of sale or sharing, as described in the same section.
Information may also need to be shared with professional advisers, in response to a valid legal requirement, or as part of a business transaction subject to applicable protections and notice obligations.
09Patient information and platform services
YNOW connects commerce with clinical and pharmacy workflows, but this public business website is not an intake channel for healthcare. Patient information should only enter a designated workflow after the relevant parties, purposes, access controls and agreements have been established.
Depending on the contracted service and applicable law, the telehealth brand, clinician, pharmacy and YNOW may have different privacy responsibilities. Those roles must be documented for the specific operation. Where required, appropriate data processing or business associate agreements must be in place.
This notice does not replace a provider’s patient notice, consent process or contractual privacy documentation, and does not assert that every YNOW relationship has the same legal classification. For a question about your own care or medical record, contact the relevant care provider through its patient channel.
10How long information is kept
Contact form submissions and email signups are kept in our content management system, in Customer.io and in our email for as long as we need them to respond, manage the business relationship and send any updates you asked for, and longer only where the law requires. You can ask us to delete them by emailing hello@ynow.com.
11Keeping information secure
No online service can promise absolute security. Keep sensitive patient information, payment card details and passwords out of ordinary business messages.
12Processing across borders
Information may be processed in the locations used by YNOW and its selected service providers.
13Your choices and privacy requests
You can choose whether to make an inquiry and whether to supply optional fields. Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or complain to a relevant supervisory authority.
These rights can have conditions and exceptions. A request process may require proportionate identity checks and must follow the response periods required by applicable law. Do not send medical records or unnecessary identity documents with an initial request.
14US state privacy rights
This section applies to residents of California under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and to residents of other US states with consumer privacy laws, such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and Oregon, to the extent those laws apply to YNOW.
In the past 12 months, this website may have collected these categories of personal information:
- Identifiers and contact details you provide in a business inquiry or the email signup, such as your name and work email.
- Professional or commercial information you provide, such as your brand or company, topic of interest and business message.
- Internet or other electronic network activity collected by Google Analytics while analytics is on, such as the pages viewed, how you arrived, your device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address, and by the Meta pixel for Meta Platforms unless you opt out of sale or sharing, such as the pages viewed and when you send a form or sign up for email updates.
- How your visit reached the website, sent with a form you submit: the campaign details in the link you followed, the page you landed on and the referring website.
The sources, purposes and recipients of this information are described above. We do not seek sensitive personal information through this website, and we do not use personal information to infer characteristics about you.
We do not sell personal information for money. The Meta pixel described under Technical information, cookies and analytics may count as sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or as targeted advertising, under some state laws. We do not use personal information for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. You can opt out of this sharing, and of analytics, through Your Privacy Choices or Global Privacy Control.
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know about and access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a portable copy, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to appeal a decision about your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To opt out of analytics and of the sale or sharing of personal information, use Your Privacy Choices on any page. To make another request, email us at hello@ynow.com. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf where the law allows. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the period the applicable law requires.
15Children and external websites
YNOW’s business website is intended for professional inquiries from brand founders and operators. It is not directed at children and does not offer patient registration or child healthcare services. If child information is received, please tell us at hello@ynow.com so it can be addressed under the applicable procedures.
External links and scheduling services are governed by their own privacy notices. Check the destination before sending personal information. This notice only describes the YNOW website and the inquiry activities within its stated scope.
16Updates and how to contact us
Changes to data collection or use must be reflected here, with additional notice or consent where required. A changed notice is not a substitute for obtaining any permission an activity requires.
For business inquiries, visit Contact YNOW. For privacy questions and requests, email hello@ynow.com.
